As part of Falcon's commitment to being a community-oriented organisation, we are currently fundraising for a Community Boathouse to further the aims of the club: to promote rowing and flatwater canoeing/kayaking to all members of the community, including disadvantaged children and adults.

To do this requires a major upgrade to our current facilities. The addition of further storage space for craft, improvements in access for the disabled, and the creation of a useable space for the community is a priority as we are the only community club on the River Thames.

We have received major support from the Amateur Rowing Association and British Canoe Union. Oxford City Council have also given us their backing and have proposed a considerable grant - to be matched by the ARA and BCU. However, we also need to raise money from community sources to make this project a reality. We are aiming to have the facilities built and ready for use by Summer 2008 - an ambitious but achieveable goal.
